Thanks CapnChaosDK, have tried your files already - and every other file I can find and none work. They get as far as Verify Started and it hangs there.
It looks like the hardware may be different in the V1.2 - but I can't find any info on what changes if any have been made.
But if it was just the button and the case then surely the v1.1 hex on your thread would work.
We may need a new thread similar to yours on how to compile for the Ps3break V1.2 .
Is there anyway to tell from the offical hex file on there site (ps3break_HermesV4_v1.5c.hex) what differences there are to the V1.1 versions of the board.
Cheers.
I've just cracked open the case the V1.2 came in and its not a Pic chip in there.
They've removed the name from the surface of the chip. But its a smd package with 20 pins. Is this an Amtel chip ???
Where can you see what device type it is in windows. I've looked under Manager Devices and it just says its a 'HID Compliant consumer control device'.![]()
ps3break dongle v1.2 has "slightly encrypted" HEX file format and a secure bootloader, so regular HEXes won't work!
I got the PS3Break V1.1 well i tryed to version 1.2 in the loader but the program could't see it.. so it must be version 1.1 i have and i tryed to burn the complied mHex from XVortex : ps3break_hermes4c_psn_vtx.hex even tryed to rename it to : ps3break_hermes4c_psn_vtx.mHex burn tools still tells me to get there hermes4 from there website is there any idea how we can bypass this and is the Hermes4 as good as the one complied we find in here?
