UDIP - AVR USB 32K Atmega32u2 opinions

I was wondering what the pros thought about this chip. It was pretty cheap, but it's still compatible with PSGroove. So why is it so cheap and how come not everyone is swooping down on it?

Another thing, does anyone know the size specs for this chip? I have an old clear green ps1 memory card I'd like to use, but I need to make sure it's gonna fit. I'd like to know before I got it so I can look around for other things I can use for an enclosure.
