Hope everyone's been having a good week.

Are there any updates to Vidarino's file for 3.15? Been using the pat315, and will be testing out the df315 (Kakaroto) tonight. I don't think I'll be updating to 3.41 till there's confirmation that GT5 works though

There never were any updates to Vidarino's PL3. I luckily got it compiled before he removed support for older firmwares. The only payload that may be updated further than the Vidarino payload would be the Xoeo payload. That's supposed to be for 3.15 and have the spoof included. I haven't tried it yet though.

Just so everyone knows, I picked up a 40GB fat PS3 2 days ago. It was on 3.50 and I downgraded it to 3.15. Now I can test the older firmwares along with you guys.

Oh yea, the Xoeo works. Spoof works too. BUT, as you might remember, I still couldn't get nba 2k11 to work. My guess is that it really DOES need to have a higher fw

Do you by any chance know what fw it needs, or if there's a website that documents what fw versions video games need?

Also, how's the downgrade--does everything work fine? Do you see OtherOS, backup utility, etc?

Depending what fw you're on. I have a phat fw3.15, and use Kakaroto, Vidarino, or Xoeo. They all work fine for my games (Little Big Planet, Modnation Racers, Borderlands, RE5GE). They just don't work with nba 2k11 for some reason, no matter which loader I use. I use Open Manager and Gaia Manager btw. Open Manager works with all the above listed games.

If you're on a higher fw, use any that you like, and make sure to grab a fw compat file if you're not on 3.41.

Does Modnation Racers work on all three payloads?
I have had many instability issues with PL3 and Modnation Racers and my research has revealed that a lot of people have given up using PL3 with Modnation Racers.

I am using Hermes v4b now without any issues on a 3.41 PS3 Slim.

If PL3 = kakaroto (def315 or df315), then yes it works for me. Works fine--just takes hella long to load compared to any other game. I use it in conjunction with Open manager v1.7.2 or watever the number is.

No problem here.

Do you just select ps3jb89 and hit enter?
Because you should execute:
ps3jb89()
not ps3jb89(
as it will be, if you simply select it through the var-link menu.

yea i had that problem just go to your home app (the calculator) and type
"ps3jb89()" and hit enter then the app should run.

Just wanted to give some quick thanks. I was able to downgrade from 3.50 to 3.41 and JB with my TI89 thanks to this post. Thanks!

As for 3.55 Spoof, it's working on Hermes. The system Information reads 3.55 System Update says I am running the latest version. But as expected no PSN access.
