Thanks, I have a slim fw 3.41 and I'm using the hermes v4b payload (also tried kakaroto). I got it to load up on the calculator in stage 1, but when I try to select a game to play using BM 1 the game thats showing up on the front menu is the disc that I put in and not the one I have selected. What does "BM 1" mean? If you mean backup manager, you're outta date, mang. Use Open manager 1.7.2 or watever its called. Then in the loader, select your game, and it should kick you out to the XMB. Pop in a ps3 game disc, and then the icon will pop up in your GAME tab with the title of your selected game. Enjoy!Quote:

This may sound like a goofy question but would there be any difference in using a TI-84 vs a TI-89? I have both at my disposal. Does one offer longer battery life or any other advantage?
The device you use to jailbreak the PS3 is irrelevant as long as it delivers the payload. If you remember to exit the program and turn off the calculator when it says it's done, battery life is not going to be an issue.Quote:

It's cool if you add the functionality, but don't kill yourself trying to make the hook feature for the admittedly smaller TI-89 user-base. If someone REALLY wants the hook, they can always buy a TI-84 at a pawn shop or on craigslist or ebay for a decent price.
BTW-
I'm going to see if I can contact Mathieulh, KaKaRoTo, or superg and see if we can track down the reason why some of the compatibility appvars aren't working. I don't know if you checked out the first post in the TI-84 thread; I got a majority of older firmwares working, but I'm still lacking a few. I feel like I'm making them correctly now, but they just aren't jailbreaking correctly, even though the calculator reaches the "DONE" state.
