    TI-84+ Payload Collection

Welcome to the TI-84+ Payload Collection thread! This is the place for all the latest TI-84+ payloads.

If you need help with any of these payloads, please visit the blog of the original TI-84+ Jailbreak author, Brandon Wilson. You can find his blog and all of the needed files to get the jailbreak running here:
    PS3JB - PS3 Jailbreak for TI-84 Plus/Silver Edition

If you are looking for the TI-84+ downgrader, read the bottom of this post for more information!
YOU CANNOT LOG INTO PSN USING ANY OF THESE PAYLOADS!

NOTE: When using KakaRoto PL3 payloads, you can have "Device 6" disabled in your PS3JB app on your calculator. This will get rid of the annoying "Unknown Device" warning on your PS3 when you boot it up.

NOTE 2: Everyone should be using the Default (DEFxxx) payloads. Unless there is something that calls for a DEV or PAT payload, stay away for now.

    Vidarino PL3 Payloads
The Vidarino .zip files include the 3.41 payloads, sorted by compile date. The DEFxxxV.8xv files are the default payloads. The DEVxxx.8xv files are the dev payloads. The PATxxx.8xv files are the patched (no_unauth_syscall) payloads.

It includes the ability to play PS1/PS2 games in JB mode, enables Life with Playstation in JB Mode, 3.50 Spoof, and fixes the Linux Menu missing bug in the XMB. NOTE: When using Hermes payloads, you have to have "Device 6" enabled in your PS3JB app on your calculator. If you don't, the payload will not work.

    Rebug Payloads
The Rebug payloads are only compatible with firmware 3.41. The .zip file includes the PL3 payloads (DF, DV, and NU) and the Hermes v4B payloads.

    Rebug (3.41) 1-02-2011.zip

NOTE: When I know and have tested more, I'll add in some notes.

    Firmware Compatibility AppVars
The Firmware Compatibility AppVars allow us TI-84 users to jailbreak lower firmwares. I will be adding more as I get them completed. I have tested these myself, and I have been able to install and run packages.

    FWC243- NOT WORKING
    FWC253.zip
    FWC260.zip
    FWC270.zip
    FWC276- NOT WORKING
    FWC285- NEED ADDRESSES & CAN'T FIND FIRMWARE
    FWC301.zip
    FWC310.zip
    FWC315.zip
    FWC321- NOT WORKING
    FWC330- NOT WORKING
    FWC340.zip

NOTE: To jailbreak firmwares lower than 3.41, you need to use a Firmware Compatibility AppVar. To do this, load up the PS3JB app on your calculator. Choose the payload for the firmware you want to jailbreak in "Stage 1 Payload" (an example would be DF253 from the PL3 payloads). Then, choose the compatibility file for the firmware you want to jailbreak in "FW Compat. Opts." (following the example would be FWC253). Then you should be able to jailbreak the lower firmwares.

NOTE 2: A big thanks is in order for Brandon Wilson who took the time to explain to me how to get these working. He also supplied the 3.15 Firmware Compatibility AppVar.

    Payload Naming Scheme Explained
    KaKaRoto- DFxxx.8xv, DVxxx.8xv, NUxxx.8xv
    Kiosk Mode- DFxxxK.8xv, DVxxxK.8xv, NUxxxK.8xv
    Vidarino- DFxxxV.8xv
    EvilSperm- DFxxxE.8xv
    Hermes- HERMxxx.8xv
    Xoeo- DFxxxX.8xv
    Rebug- RebugDF.8xv, RebugDV.8xv, RebugNU.8xv, RebugHER.8xv

    PS3 TI-84+ Downgrader
Thanks to the hard work of Brandon, we now have the ability to downgrade from firmware 3.50 or below to a lower firmware. You can find the PS3JB App (version 0.08.0001) from his blog at:
    PS3JB - PS3 Jailbreak for TI-84 Plus/Silver Edition

    HOW TO DOWNGRADE:
    1. Install the PS3JB App (v. 0.08.0001)
    2. Open the PS3JB App on your calculator. (APPS->PS3JB)
    3. Choose Option "5" (Options)
    4. Make sure "Stage 1 and Stage 2 Payloads" is set to "none". Make sure "FW. Compat. Opts" is set to "none". Make sure "Use Device 6" is set to "No".
    5. MAKE SURE "EMULATE JIG" IS SET TO YES
    6. Save your configuration.
    7. Connect your calculator to your PS3 and press option "1" (PS3 Jailbreak) on your calculator.
    8. Do the power cycle like you normally would to jailbreak your PS3.
    9. You may see some screen flickers. You will not have a picture on your screen. The PS3 will shut itself off.
    10. Format a USB flash drive. Make sure there is nothing left on the flash drive.
    11. Copy over the modified 3.41 update (PS3UPDAT.PUP) and the first Lv2diag.self file onto the root of your flash drive. There should be nothing else but these two files on your flash drive.
    12. Plug the flash drive into the right-most USB port if your PS3 is laying down, or the top USB port if it is standing up.
    13. Power on the machine. Don't do the normal Jailbreak power cycle. Just power it on. You will get no picture. You will have to wait until it shuts itself off agin, which took me about 10 minutes. DO NOT get antsy and think it froze on you and shut it off prematurely. Give it up to an hour before doing anything drastic.
    14. Once the PS3 shuts itself off again, plug your flash drive back into your computer again and delete the "PS3UPDAT.PUP" and the "Lv2diag.self" files. Once deleted, copy over the second Lv2diag.self file to the root of your flash drive. Again, this should be the only file on your flash drive.
    15. Once the file is on your flash drive, plug it into the same port you had it in before in your PS3 and turn the power on. Again, just a normal power on, no Jailbreak power cycle.
    16. It will stay at a black screeen until it is ready and then shut itself off. Once that is done, remove your flash drive.

    Congratulations! You are now done!

Brandon and I are not responsible for any damage you do to your PS3. You need to read VERY well before you get yourself into trouble. It has been reported that downgrading sometimes causes your Blu-Ray disc drive to not read Bluray movies. I can say that on my slim, it did NOT happen to me, but I have not done enough testing to confirm.

Whoever compiled the Hermesv3 Waninkoko + Mathieulh patch, can you please post or PM me the file so I can add it and give credit?

    Thanks

Hi mate, thanks for this. I've previously been sifting through many forum sections for these. Nice to have them all in one spot!

    This should be stickied.

I've downloaded so many badly compiled AppVars it isn't funny. Finally somebody who knows what he's doing. Hats off to you, sir!
