TI-84+ Jailbreaking Guide (and playing backups)

I Get that same stuck "Working... "but no done sometimes,( not lately though ) and what's funny is In that mode, games wont start but I still see the 2 items under game menu ( Install packages, and the other). like it's half jail broken or something..Usually, for me, just turning off both calculator and ps3and restarting the process fixes it. Also if you are still having that problem, try flipping the calculator over, taking one of the AAA battery out than back in ( because I know nothing how to work this calculator besides the ps3 jb, so i am never sure of i cleared or powered off the device correctly to initiate another jailbreak), then make sure the ps3 power in the back is OFF, connect the usb cable to ps3 and calculator ,then go to the psjb menu on calculator, press 1 , 1 until it tells you to connect THEN turn the power on from the back, and press power button wait like a split second, then jam multipress the eject bunch of times. try it with a disk inside, so u instantly have it eject.. that's the way i do mine so far got like 20/20 successful attempts im gettin used to it now hehe

No, it will not work. It has to be a TI84 - not an 83 and not an 89. This question has been asked and answered repeatedly....

Edit: I got it working!! I don't know how but after trying many more times lol I finally got the jailbreak working. And it only took 3 hours. I suck lol.

are there any ti 84 + 8xk PSGroove with Hermes v2 Payload... was able to observe v1 worked great but have not had the chance to load v2... or is it loaded in open manager v1.13. please correct me if i'm wrong, any body tried it out with newer games like nba2k11 etc...
anybody with a compiled or edited 8xk for us to try out

hermes psgroove psfreedom backup manager, open manager etc. man this is all getting a bit confusing. I wish there was a simple faq that spelled it out straight. Each topic I go into goes straight into discussion assuming those who click the topic know the background. hasn't helped much.

So, things are working fine so far with this and backup manager 1.0.

Can the Hermes payload be loaded onto the ti84+? You need that for open manager right? WHat's the benefits of open manager 1.13 over backup manager 1.0?

I guess i'm seeing this as best current set-up as TI84+ with v1 hermes payload 8xk and OpenManager V1.13, less wear on BD laser with advantage of more game compatibility,
observed no current drawback yet...

THANK YOU to all the developers and programmers i believe with this set-up it will extend the life of our investment/game consoles

answers is yes but you have to use V1 hermes payload PS3JB.8xk
also there are a lot of benefits for Open Manager 1.13

>it allows loading without Bd in tray,

>allows more game compatibility with newer games (some games don't recognize controller this version fixes those bugs),

>you can also transfer from int.HDD to Ext.HDD within manager screen even files over 4gb limit for fat it splits BIG files to .666xx you can use new program - OpenSplit v1.0 from pc end to recombine them later via FTP for ps3

>also auto arranges your archives/back-ups alphabetically be it in Int.HDD, ext.USB 0 & 1 ---
the original backup manager arrange it by the date it was archived which made it sometimes confusing when you have a lot of games....

I belive the version of your playstation is not 3.41 if it isnt 3.41 we are on the same boat i been trying to find a way to downgrade no luck tho

THERE IS NO WAY TO DOWNGRADE I CHECKED IF THERE IS ANY WAY FILL ME IN ............. WAITING FOR NEW JB findings FOR 3.42 /3.5 and up
