resident evil 5 gold install help

was wondering just installed resident evil, i have it on usb and internal hdd, i am trying to use a resident evil 5 gold cheat pkg, i have installed that and keep trying to play game but just sits at the loading screen with no hdd activity.
anybody out there get it to work? inot sure if i have to install the usrdir to the pkg location, could anyone tell me where it is located so i can try that?
its a pal copy(bles00485) and have the pal pkg installed.

did a little snooping think i found the install dir. was going to copy games USRDIR to pkg directory but its like 11 gigs. doesnt make sense. you would just be putting the original files back in there place, overwriting the cheat pkg.
tried installing again and just launching game,(on stag e one, just meeting the zombies for the first time) pick up money, doesnt seem to have any effect, then i get my ammo and run out, then i die.?

yeah, it sounds like you have to move the usrdir minus the eboot to dev_hdd0/game/bles00485.
Only do this if you get a cheat icon on the xmb. If you install the cheat and don't get an icon, then all it is is a modified update file and you play the game like you normally would. If you still have the cheat pkg file, then you can open it up with a pkg extractor and look to see what directory it installs to just to be sure you're moving to the right location if that's what you need to do. After you get it working, you can delete any extra copies that you have

nothing much when u use the cheat pkg u need allow he install the hd data again
just install the cheat pkg and execute the game with the installed pkg not with the game disc or the ps3_game

would like to thank both of you for the help. i install game data thru the actual game, then i install the pal pkg and load from the cheat pkg.
it just hangs on the opening loading screen, i have waited well after the remote control turns off, have even waited longer(i dont see any hdd activity) under game data it shows as 1kb and install game data everytime.? never had this befor, unpkg'd and see that its a bxes and not bles and its a hdd pkg wich i am playing

extracted the cheat pkg and noticed was different game version( i was way off) sorry for the bother( i used magic pkg 4 )
