requesting off topic hex files and compiled code should be a bannable offense.

I think we should make it a bannable offense to ask for Hex files or compiled files in a thread that is announcing a new payload or new homebrew item. Those threads should be on point. Every single thread that is ever started is the same thing. 20 posts on topic, 200 posts off topic asking for compiled code or hex files.
I think first offense should be 1 week, second 1 month, third offense 1 year.
The answer is to have a thread for each type of chipset on hex codes. People can go to that thread and request updated hex's there.
Just my 2 cents. So annoying to go through 14 pages of does anyone have this hex file?
I agree that something should be done about it, but I think the punishments are a little too harsh.

Every forum you go to will ALWAYS have n00bs asking for files. It's a part of the Internet. It becomes pretty easy to skip past all of the useless posts as you read.
Theres already a HEX file collection thread

Also, I understand the frustration but no need for this thread. Simply PM a admin/moderator and let them handle it. Making this thread would be pointless as no one would care and still post up their requests...let alone this being in a forum that doesnt belong here.

I agree, however, I have also been on sites where rules are heavy handed and enforced which ends up a bigger positive for everyone.
A 1 week ban is not bad. It teaches people a lesson. It's not a perm ban. Plus in the 1 week, they can read and figure out how to compile there own code. Teaches patience as well.
Actually, I posted this here because this is where it would be read and make sense. I also figured if people agree a admin might take this into account.
i do understand where u comin from... its well hard to find USEFULL posts in all these threads... but i think 1 week, 1 month etc is very harsh!
maybe if the thread creator updated post with info like UPDATE TO VXX IS NOT OUT YET BUT IN DEV.... for example anyway...
I think thats a good suggestion. Now can i get that suggestion compiled for teensy++?
Could you compile this for a minimus board please!
All this is going to do is create shit loads of work for admins and mods issuing bans every 10 mins in my opinion as there are and will be floods of people asking this over and over in threads like that. A forum announcement would be more beneficial
