Remove traces of Jailbreak and connect to PSN.
Remove traces of Jailbreak and connect to PSN. –

Hi,
I currently have my one system running backup manager through PSgroove and a teensy++ board on system 1.
I want to start using system 2 for the jailbreak ( offline).
And system 1 for Online ( no jailbreak).
Ofcourse there are some traces of the installation when i upgrade to 3.42.
How can i remove all traces of the installations and safely connect to PSN without being banned on System 1.?
IE. is it possible to remove all traces of ever using a jailbreak on you ps3?

I don't think anything is stored to the NAND, so maybe formatting your internal drive would work ?

What would be Sony's motivation to ban the return of the prodigal console?
Before the 3.42 update I can understand them wanting to prohibit JB consoles from connecting, but now they should be happy to see you back.
The report was that Sony were detecting JB consoles by comparing the 5 last disks inserted to the last 5 games inserted (presumably with allowances for PSN games). Presumably this is easily resolved by simply playing 5 different legitimate games.
Were the PSN console bans actually real, or were they simply a hoax

ok thats a bunch of bullcrap if i ever heard it... what if a person only owns 2 games, or let alone 1, and they keep using that disc? is sony going to ban them for it?

If you did a full system reset and installed official 3.60, can sony still detect that the machine had been previously jailbroken and as such, ban the console from psn? Im just curious more than anything. Thanks guys

If you update and uninstall all homebrew they aren't going to ban you as that is what they want. Besides they would have a shite storm to deal with if they started banning people who drop a CFW for OFW.
PS3 CECH-25001 Rebug 4.41.2 "Lite" 1tb iNt & 2tb eXT mM 4.40.00
Back online thanks to Primee for the legit PSID!!

If i'm reading this all correctly, all i need is 2 hard drives? CFW and OFW are hard drive oriented, and nothing is flashed to the system?
So on days my kid want to play LBP online, i plug in the OFW hard drive, and let him
While on days i wanna mess with homebrew, i just plug in my CFW hard drive?
Is it really this easy?
