4g grey worked on the second attempt, it did give me the two additional options. It let me install snes PKG. and it loads and runs fine. Only thing is upon booting up it gives unknown usb device error. Keep up the good work! I gotta hit the sack now, will check back later tonight.

I compiling now for 3.15 - need testers.
I complied it last night, DanyL. It does in fact jailbreak the PS3 on 3.15 but I'm thinking it's not the Hermes v3 payload because it won't load backups and goes back to the XMB when you try.
SNES Emulators work fine and packages install. Don't have time to mess with it this morning, but may this afternoon.

That's normal from what I can tell and I can see it on a few fuzzy youtubes as wellz. (side topic: Do people even watch those videos before uploading them? I mean... I had this thing compiled and uploaded about 10 hours ago but didn't leave it because I thought maybe I had done something wrong and my compile wasn't loading backups.)

I know its without Hermes's v3 payload.
I remember that someone has made a working BM PL3, but I can't remember where I saw it.
Edit: Saw Evostar's post right now.
I'll try to compile it with this:

Hi, i would like to know what am i doing incorrect?
When i open the RockBox-PSGroove Installer.exe from the folder i extracted, and go to the settings tab. my paths are:-
Device: E:
RockBox-PSGroove Installer: C:\Users\toqi786\Desktop\RockBox-PSGroove Installer 1.1
are those directories correct?
then when I go on auto install ipl, cmd open, so i just close that
then i go to psgroove install tab and install it for ipod mini 2g
then when i reset ipod, no menu comes up? goes start to ipod menu (i.e. music, settings etc.)
Can some1 please explain to me what i am doing incorrect

waninkoko's PL3 at master - GitHub
Thanks, that's what I thought but was to tired to do any searching and coding to change the payload. I'll check it out later today.

How did you specify for 3.15? In the makefile? Or did you have to change config.h? I need 1 for 3.15 4g greyscale. Ill be attempting to compile in next few days for the first time, thanks. Any tips for hurdles you overcame are welcome crash.
Here is what I did:
- I got the latest shuffle2 sources
- got the latest kakaroto PL3 and put it in the firmware/usbstack folder in shuffle2's code
- renamed the PL3 directory to pl3 (shuffle2, changed the name.. not sure if it matters with his code)
- then remove the comment on the #define for 3.15 in config.h
- make the PL3 (I made sure to have the PS3toolchain that kakaroto specified in his FAQ.)
- then ran ../tools/configure from my build directory and ran the resulting make.
- You have to copy the payload compiled for the PL3 (renamed to stage1.bin) to /.rockbox then your golden as I recall.
Like DanyL said this is the original payload, so it won't run backups... working on it but it may be a few hours before I get a chance to really look at it. If no one's added hermes3 by this afternoon I will figure it out and upload a working version then... DanyL will likely beat me to it, but if he's working on something other than the c200 and e200 I'll take care of it.

Why are you closing the CMD?
Let it install iPL on your device.

Why are you copy the payload to /.rockbox?
It's working without it, as it's compiled with the rockbox.ipod\mi4 file.

Yes.
It's should exit when it'll done with iPL installation.

okay, because all it says in the cmd is
C:\Users\toqi786\Desktop\RockBox-PSGroove Installer 1.1>
and nothing is happening? :s
