hi. im new to this and was looking for a little help.
first thing my blu ray drive is broke so cannot use my ps3 and backup manager to put the games on my external usb.
my question is: if i managed somehow to get the game files on to my computer
how do i put these on a usb drive and play then from my jb ps3?
also fat32 will not let me put a file which is larger than 4gb

you have to use FTP (already here ) search
use Internal HDD instead of External hdd

No i want to use external drive and not the internal one. i did a quick search do u have the link?

well you know you cannot use external hdd for the games that are more than 4 gb .

well thats pretty pointless of the external usb then. so how do you put games biger than 4gb on an external usb? so really u need to have a very large hard drive in the ps3 then use FTP to copy from pc to ps3 correct?

He meant games with single files larger than 4gb. A few games that are as much as 20+ GB work externally, i.e. Ratchet and Clank Tools of Destruction or Uncharted (1): Drake's Fortune.
