So BM wont work with these compiles then..?

Can you compile the Newest PSGroove Patched for Retail PKG + BM Support + the Latest SVN of RockBox..?
I have RockBox-PSGroove working on FW 3.15 with the Sansa c200v1 with BM support and waninkoko's Hermes v3 patch... doing one more compile to verify then I will cross compile for the e200 for 3.15 and for 3.01.
I might spend 10 minutes playing Overload II via BM as well, ;-) Cross compiles will be made TONIGHT.
Working Rockbox Groove Port on FW 3.15!
Working Rockbox Groove Port on FW 3.15! –
Rockbox-PSGroove compiled for firmwares other than 3.41... namely 3.15 and 3.01! with waninkoko's Hermes v3 patch and VERIFIED WORKING BM support!
I have verified the sansa c200v1 build 100% and it is a real jailbreak that runs "Overlord II" diskless from BM.
OK, This is the latest version of Shuffle2 and waninkoko's latest Hermes v3 PL3 module... pretty much the compile I've been fighting and recompiling all weekend long. The challenge has been that while it worked to jailbreak none of the games I had were working, including ones listed on the compatability list (Little Big Planet GOTY).
I'll admit, some of my problems were from not realizing that backups don't LAUNCH from the BM and then there are the compatability problems (where the game doesn't run without *A* disk in the drive, the game doesn't run with *THE* disk in the drive, and then the game doesn't run at all. It seems the compatability problems are the bulk of the battle with 3.15, and *maybe* games are less compabible between versions of the FW... I imagine this will be resolved once the lv2open patch becomes main stream and we learn more about 3.15. Remember, while JB is relatively new a 3.15 JB is even newer!
Here are the steps to get your backups running from BM on FW 3.15:
- Install a BM via a package. (I used Open Manager Gaia Beta 1)
- Copy the disk to the HDD (If compatable it should work from the BM, but none of mine did so I FTPed Overlord II (BLES-00580) to /dev_hdd0/game/OMAN46756/GAMEZ)
- run Open Manager Gaia (or your BM)
- Select the disk you want to load (by selecting it and hitting X)
- When the XMB comes back up, Select "*/app_home/PS3_GAME/" from the games menu and select it when the Game comes up (Try it in this order to determine what way to best start the game; NO DISK, A Disk, THE disk.)
There is some trial and error above in the last step but I can now say that it DOES work and that the code/compiles/process is all worked out for the C200v1 on FW3.15. If you have this exact combination... this is your solution!
If not, I think the other compiles should work as well. I'm also cross compiling for the e200 series (and others if need be) for both the 3.15 FW and the 3.01 FW. Since I don't have 3.01 on my PS3 or a e200... Please report back if they do so others will know.
Please note, The ipod Video cross-compiles are because someone asked for them... I haven't verified the Ipod Video is compatible with Rockbox-Groove (as in what USB Controller it has) because I don't have one... Do your own research to see if they are compatible. However, the Original port Shuffle2 did was an Ipod Video 5G.
Update: Almost done with all the compatible RB-PSGroove ports for FW3.15. The only one remaining I think is the Ipod 4G Grayscale because it is giving me fits.

Oh wow, thanks man, I'll be trying this tomorrow, I have a Sansa e200 and a PS3 with firmware 3.15, so this is just what I've been waiting for, thanks again man, I'll let you know how it works out for me.
Make sure it isn't a v2, I don't know the difference but the rockbox configuration tool makes a distiction. All the e200 compiles I did are for "e200" and not "e200v2" in teh configuration tool.
