This is based on the work by Shuffle2 and all of the other crazy cats on these forums who've helped on the Rockbox code.

PSGroove for Rockbox on iRiver H10 5gB

    To install:

    1. Download the RockBox installer and install RockBox on your device.
    2. Download the new .mi4 file from one of the current ps3 groove builds for the 5g H10.
    3. Navigate to your H10
    4. Replace the existing .rockbox folder with the new one you just downloaded. (or if you know what you're doing just replace the .mi4)
    5. Boot h10 and see if RockBox is working properly.
    6. Turn h10 off.
    7. Isolate PS3 (switch for fat, unplug for slim)
    8. Connect h10 to ps3 via usb
    9. Power on h10.
    10. Connect power back to PS3 (switch or physical connect)
    11. Hit the on and eject buttons in quick succession.
    12. Enjoy fiddling.

This thread currently contains builds up to Hermes v4.

For newer builds consult DanyL's page and shoot him some words of thanks:
    http://sourceforge.net/userapps/wordpress/danyl3/

Note: This will only work on the iRiver h10 5gb, NOT on any of the other iRiver family devices including the 20gb version. It should be an easy patch if anyone is interested though...

Is it possible for you to post a Iriver H10 20gb version? Or maybe point out how to compile it myself? Thank you in advance.

Unfortunantly I'm very busy with my thesis so I'll send you the directions.

I've pmed you coolwulf with directions.

If anyone else is planning on patching rockbox themselves I strongly recommend using a linux environment NOT cygwin etc.

    It is much much faster.

Here is the linux guide for rockbox dev. http://www.rockbox.org/wiki/LinuxSimpleGuideToCompiling
And here is the patching guide. http://www.rockbox.org/wiki/SimpleGu...Adding_Patches

    And the patches are here:

Credit to all those involved in making this happen. There are too many to count.

PSGroove for Rockbox on iRiver H10 5gB

This is not the Hermes payload. If I have the time and any interest I might work on it but atm I'm a bit too busy with other things. But BM1 is tested and working.

Same as most of the other installs, just copy the .rockbox folder on top of the one already on your Rockboxed h10 5gb.

Note: This will only work on the iRiver h10 5gb, NOT on any of the other iRiver family devices including the 20gb version. It should be an easy patch if anyone is interested though...
cheers mate for the great work!! any chance you could compile a version with the hermes payload?? or point me in the right direction cheers

    Hi,
Thanks for the port on the H10.
Is there any way that you would port/give us instructions on how to port the newest payload for Rockbox on the Iriver H10?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi all,

Unfortunantly due to my uni work I've been very busy and thus lent my h10 to a friend for his use and testing.

I've recompiled the code for the newest Hermes v3 payload but it remains untested and I have no idea if it works or not. It should but I must reiterate it is untested!!!

I've attached the files below and I'm sure you know what to do with them. Please respond if its working or not and maybe I can have a look at it and review my changes, but until 27th of October I'm a busy bee.
