PSGroove port help needed

Seems teensy boards, At90usb chips, blackcat USB are sold out worldwide so it's time to port this bad boy to other chips.

Looking for a discussion on compatible chips and whether they have to be programmed with a programmer or can be done via the unit itself.

At this stage it would be nice to have an educated discussion as I've not a great deal of knowledge but I'm going to throw out a chip below that I think may do the job.

18F2455/50 has been used as a USB interface for jtagging the Xbox 360. There are numerous schematic boards floating around and homemade jobs.

If it turns out to be compatible this would be a great alternative. Pics to follow.

Alternatively, find me some At90USB chips
