all i am saying is they could of waited until there was something more substantial. like when they said it was going to be updated everyone was super hyped on what it could be and it turns out that is a very minor update. i never said no one wll get use out of it but just the number of people that would could fill a small village

This version doesn't allow backups either.

But what are you expecting? There isn't much more they can put in the payload.

i am not expecting again, i think they have already done a super job. i am mainly laughing at the hype around it and the annoyance of noobs asking " does this fix the 3.42 update probem".

This is NOT a minor update. It allows devs to research more about the PS3s inner workings, therefore they could possibly find more exploits and more complicated homebrew can be created.

At least that's how I've interpreted it.

Eidt: Hold on, there's report this update could kill the usb update/dfu, let me confirm

new bins for other boards see
http://psx-scene.com/forums/showpost...9&postcount=53 (Hex File Collection For Various Boards)

    updated psgroove 1.1
    patched (with extra feature)
    untested, should work as before

**If you already has psgroove working, you don't have to upgrade at this moment as this update is mainly for homebrew application builders and there is not yet any homebrew application yet.

If you haven't flashed your chip yet, you can try to use 1.1 directly

I wonder if programs like Devhook could be possible now that they've started poking around in memory. Firmware emulation I mean...
