Is it possible? (BM with cheats)
Is it possible? (BM with cheats) –
This question is directed at those who ... well... know how this stuff works. Do you think it might be possible to have a backup manager that supports cheats, similar to neogamma on the wii? I understand that before we can do that, we'd have to be able to look at what the game is actually doing (a debugger?) Can the PS3 do two things at once like that in the first place, running a debugger app while running a game? Can it even do the debugger part?
Also, if you're overly concerned with what someone else does with their game, their save, on their console in an offline environment... please don't start flinging insults. I read enough of that on a few forums when it came to that instant platinum program.
yeah i cant wait for a ps3 cheat app! it wasnt long b4 psp got 1 once it was hacked so only matter of time!
before you all kick off... i do mean OFFLINE cheats
Play by yourself!
well if we all jailbreaking our ps3 and staying on 3.41... then we have to play by ourselves anyway....

People dont realize the potential that memory editing has.
If this were possible, perhaps that compatibility list would be a bit better.
I hadn't thought of that aspect, making alterations to memory to potentially add compatibility in otherwise incompatible games... now I really want to know if it's possible. I have a few games that don't work with backup manager and I prefer to go easy on the blu-ray laser. My ps3 stays noticeably cooler running from HDD than disc, so that's another plus.
