Playing Games From External Drive
Playing Games From External Drive –
09-24-2010,05:10 PM
Hi, I have backed up my GTA 4 disk and it plays absolutely fine on the internal drive, however when I try with external it crashes on boot.
I will load the game from backup manager, it starts to load for a few seconds then crashes. I have tried over 10 games and the only one that works is Wipeout.
Am I doing something wrong or is there something better to use.
I am using a Hitachi 1TB Desktop HDD and a WD Passport Portable Drive.
What is the normal load time for games off of an external drive?

Why don't you try re-formatting the external drive with another FAT32 format utility unless you're on a Mac, then you can format the whole thing fat from disk utility

I have used Gparted for Ubuntu and partition magic for windows but no luck.
