Play backups without Disc?

hey, so far I have jailbroken my ps3 with the first way of bw's ti 84 modded way. I am reading that it IS possible to play backups without a game in the disc drive; however, how is it done?

what version of jailbreak do i need? (ie hermes 4vb) How do I update the jailbreak with the Ti?

also, What backup manager do I need?

Hermes v4b or even PL3 will work without disc for most games. Use either Gaia Manager or OM 1.17.2 and you can even use MultiMAN(formerly AVCHD) as well.

Don't forget. If you're trying to load diskless, you goto app_home/PS3_Game in the Game XMB instead of the game disk.

If you use the latest payloads, most games should work discless, although there are some games that require a disc inside.
