I am trying to install Assassins Creed 2 pkg files that is 6.5gb. I used ps3splitter, split it to my ext hdd, used MM to copy to my int hdd, try to install it, gets to a certain point and gives an error. Anyone know how to install this large pkg file correctly? This error is stopping me...Thank you.

Copy the package to internal HDD and "mount" it via multiMAN or if you have installed Rebug Package Manager or XMBM+, copy to dev_hdd0/packages/ and install it from XMB.

xmbm+ had 2 pkg files to run. They were numbered in order. If you lost your install packages menu it's because you missed a step somewhere

Try this to get it to reappear so you can reinstall xmbm+. Make sure you follow every step of the instructions for it

Move the PS3 cursor/select “Network Setting“
    Punch the following button combo with your PS3 controller: L2 + L1 + R1 + R2 + L3 + D-pad Down
Thats it, the “Edy Viewer”, “Debug Settings”, “Install Package” Menu will now appear.

I still get an error after puting the files in a folder, copying to MM and using xmb+. I cannot figure out how to mount a pkg with MM maybe that will work. this is very annoying.

what do you mean mounting a pkg with multiMAN? You need to ftp or use NTFS transfer to get your 4GB+ pkg files to dev_hdd0/packages then go into xmbm+ to installl packages, then select your hard disk instead of standard location. The pkg files appear there and can be installed

I get all the way to the point of installing the pkg with xmbm+ and I get a error "80029563" while installing. Why?

Google is very helpful when searching for error codes. But that's related to a damaged pkg file. There was either an error in transferring to your hard drive or you need to redownload
