Is it possible to ftp to ps3 without internet like with just an ethernet cable if so how do i do it??
use crossover (patch) ethernet cable pc to pc
in this case pc to ps3
your computer needs to have the fixed
ip add. 192.168.0.2
subnetmask 255.255.255.0
gateway&dns 192.168.0.1
your ps3 needs to have fixed
ip add. 192.168.0.3
subnetmask 255.255.255.0
gateway&dns 192.168.0.1
it doesnot need getaway but what the heck and remember the port is 21
Go into Network settings and set up your Internet connection manually. Basically the main settings that you have to 'fudge' are the DNS server details and Proxy Server (this part is up to you). So...make sure your IP address for your PS3 is correct (you can find out what this is, through your router), as well as your router address and put in anything for the DNS server details [Primary/Secondary] (so something like 1.0.0.0).
By doing all of this, you can still use FTP (and media server features) but it will disable your internet connection so it's all good![]()
And with search button you can find anything...
