New @ Jail Breaking, Please Help.

Hi I have the old Fat PS3 60GB, which I bough on the day of the release... and I have never had the thought of Jail Breaking it... UNTIL NOW!!

LOL yeah emmm... so as you already guessed it I know nothing about Jail Breaking.

I was trying to jail break it a few weeks back but I had to have a 3.55 to do it or something like that... well I had a 3.61 soo I had to scrap the Idea..
Today though I thought lets check up on the Jail Break thing and Yay apparently there is a new one out for 3.66 and my PS3 is still 3.61. Soo am guessing I can do it now?

So Yup could you please point me towards the Correct Direction Please as in... e.g

Process of Installation(am not a complete noob at using the pc soo dun have to be to detailed about it):
Process after the Installation(as in WHERE do I get Awesome Packages from.... and HOW do I install them)
What is a NO NO NO!!!!!(e.g. maybe I shud disconnect my PS3 from Internet Fully? or mayb don't you dare touch that option(UPDATE) or ill KILL YOU!!! stuff like that )

There are no 3.66 cfw (custom firmware), only 3.66 ofw (official firmware)(no cfw above 3.55)
The only thing you could do is wait, or if you have experience look at the "CECHA01 + Infectus" thread in the tech forum. idk if that works for 3.66 or not, im sure it works for any firmware but if you dont know how to do it then dont even try. You risk completing bricking your ps3.

evrething that u hear about new cfw that hasnt been on this site is fake so sorry no jaibreak for above 3.55 just be patient maybe one day we will figure it out :P

Nope. Still no way to jailbreak a PS3 that is on 3.56 and higher firmware. You prob checked some BS website.
You have 2 options : be patient and wait for a 3.66+ exploit to be released (who knows when it will happen, it IS possible though), or solder an Infectus to your PS3 NAND chip and downgrade, which requires epic solder skills.

I'd say only update if it fixes a problem that you experience, otherwise stay at the current version and hope something happens soon.

LOL :P PC and MAC... hmm personally I have never used a mac soo ya know it fooled me easily... and am a Graduate in Computer Science :P shows how much I really know about mac's.
