Most games boot to black screen
Most games boot to black screen –
I have an odd problem that I can't seem to find anyone else experiencing...
I have the Maximus AVR USB and a PS3Key, I've tried all the PSGroove versions and payloads, the PS3Key 2.2 (which didn't work for me) and 2.1, which works but still has the same problem as all the others:
I seem to jailbreak my PS3 just fine, but so far I've only succeeded in booting 2 backups (MX Vs. ATV Unleashed and Lego Batman, both from internal HDD), all other backups fail. When booting, either with a disc inserted og via /app_home/PS3_GAME/, I always get a black screen and nothing happens. I've tried all the BMs and all are giving me the same error.
As far as I understand, if I boot using /app_home/PS3_GAME/ I shouldn't have to have an original game inserted (using the correct payload of course), but with an original disc inserted I should boot using the BD. Is that correct? In either case, the game I want to boot does display in the XMB, but I still get the error.
The funny thing is I can't guit the black screen using the controller, but if I remove the disc in the drive - or insert one and then remove it - the PS3 exits to the XMB!
Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs is the one game that's differed from this pattern: after booting I get the "loading-burger", but right after that, the black screen's back.
Has anyone else come across this problem?
i have the same issue most of the games i have load to black screen and dont play...ive gotten god3 and mlb09 to work though, which is strange....idk what to do and have been reading forums for days....any help or assistance would be appreciated....ive tried everything from restoring the system to checking the compatibility list. i have a 40g ps3 that i upgraded to a 500g wd scorpio....please someone help!!!
I too, have suffered from the game being stuck at black screen and not being able to press PS button to quit with nba 2k11. I'm on fw3.15 and using every file/loader imaginable. Most likely, it's because it really DOES need to have a higher fw.
