So I flashed my Max AVR Usb with PSgroove and everything was working fine until today. I tried to boot up the ps3 with the normal method, power then eject, and it wouldn't catch. (One time it seemed to be working but the system just rebooted and asked me to input my video settings for some reason). Now I can't seem to get the board to be recognized by my computer. Any Suggestions?

    thanks

    Wipe the stick, re-flash, repeat.

That should work for you. Make sure nothing else is plugged into the console at boot up. Make sure you use a Teensy 1.0 hex, you may also want to try holding the eject button for about 5 seconds if it's still not working after you've done all of the above.

Use the following hex from the below link:

-Psgroove 1.1 Maximus Board (LED Patched, Green = Power on, Red = Hacking) [Filename: sniffy_psgroove_max_v1_1.zip (9.0 KB, 23 views)]

I can't seem to get the stick to mount on my computer to wipe it. I'm not sure if there is a specific method for getting it to attach after it's been programmed but I'm not getting anything.

Press and hold HWB, keep it held then press RST at the same time. Release RST but keep HWB held down, then release HWB.

The stick should only have the green light showing now. You're ready to wipe and re-flash.

Crap! You've got the Maximus not the Minimus! Sorry! Thought you had the minimus.

The mounting procedure should be the same though as they're pretty much identical boards. One of the buttons is a reset and the other puts it into programming mode.

(You can see on the above pucture which buttons are which)

Plug into PC --> Press HWB --> Press RST --> Release RST --> Release HWB

Ah, the link I sent you before is fine, just use the 1.1 Maximus (Non hermes).

The chip still isn't connecting to my computer. I'm not sure if this has anything to do with it but I am using a virtual machine through my Mac.

That's most likely the problem then. I used Windows xp / Amtel Flip.

I couldn't really advise anything beyond that.

Broke out my old laptop and got it working -- even the leds work now. Not sure what caused it to stop responding before.

    Thanks for all your help!

    No problem

And the hex I linked you to has the LEDs fixed especially for the Maximus board

    Enjoy
