This is the compiled hex files for various boards using psgroove for the Kiosk 3.41.

Hey Mark. I tried your hex and another version and I can not get them to work on my 3.41 kiosk. Is there something different I need to do when I turn the system on. Cause hitting eject does not work.

by the way I used your maximus hex, I tried the idroid1g image, because it was the only compiled version at the time.

With the Kiosk since it's built to live in a unit, auto powers on when power is applied. We need to cold boot it.
To bypass this:

Put a disc into the drive.
Turn the power switch off
Turn it back on until you see the bluray light flash 1-2 times then turn the power off again
Turn the power on one more time and the light should remain red.
Now press the power button on the front, then the eject button and hold it until the disc comes out. A quick press of the eject button can stop it working for some reason on these.

Edit: After it works, you will not see the 2 new menu items until after you put the security code in and the XMB changes.
Edit2: Make sure you have NO other usb devices plugged in while the console is booting.

Thanks for the info Mark. Following your instructions, I got the payload to load. However I can not get a single backup manager to install or any other package. I will try the Gaia backup manager again in a few minutes, but so far, nothing has worked.

update: the new 1.02 gaia manager did install fine. i have to use it's ftp server, as I can not get the blackbox ftp server to work

I have no issue installing anything including Blackbox 1.2
Maybe re-download them &/or make sure the pkg file is in the root of the usb.

Good to see your on your way though =)

Edit: The "Install Package Files" under security settings where we input the code will also install PKG files. Main thing is, it will just go nuts and try to install everything it sees... exactly what it was designed to do of course.

have you been able to get Jaicrab's USB Firmware loader to work? I was hoping It would work to restore some extra functionality.

I have it installed, but as yet have not tried it.
I will be messing around with the system tonight so will give it a shot then and post the results.

just want to report i have tried the hex file and it works on my demo ps 3 3.41

would be testing out the new PL 3 versions to see if they are also compatible with demo ps 3 *finger crossing again*

Gaia 1.2 RC 3 (ok) Gaia will always appear in Game after jailbreaking, will launch immediately without demo unlock code input.

Killzone 2 (ok) but cannot boot from gaia directly only xmb, and must have at least one ps 3 bd disc in disc drive (of any title)

latest PL3 by evilsperm does not work on demo units (release date 15 Nov 2010)

I hate to ressurect this thread, but just got my demo PS3 today (CECHG01) with 3.21. I've tried the method above with no luck. Would it be the best bet to update it to the demo 3.41 firmware to get anything done on this system? Thanks!

Edit - Using an E3 Card reader for this.
