iPhone 2g Hermes payload?

Ok so am I supposed transfer the 2 files to
The root of my iPhone and over write old ones, then change permissions to 0777? Also do I use backup manager v2 to play without disk and drive, also will my controllers work with street fighter?

you copy the 2 files to /private/var/idroid without any permission changes, works fine on both Open Manager and Backup Manager v2.
About the controllers... I'm not sure as its only the first version of hermes payload so I guess there might be a problem in certain games.

ok just got home from work, so i replaced both files and it works. im playing my fifa 11 right now, but street fighter wont load for some reason. hopefully we could get the hermes v2 or even better v3 that just came out to work for iphones 2g/3g. lets keep each other posted

Does not work on iPhone 2G.
No game showing on XMB without disc in drive.

true let me rephrase-- i was hoping that the new versions would be ported soon so we could utilize the updates. i wish i was smart enough to know how to do it myself

What backup manager are you using? also, after loading the game from the backup manger (I assume you are using Open manager) it will return to XMB, from there load the APP_HOME/PS3_GAME option and the game should start.

Any chance you could work on Hermes v3 ?

Is it hard to do this, or is it something we could do our self if you explained the basics of it?

Cool! Thanks for the tip, I had no idea that you could do it that way.
Looking forward to having the game showing on XMB as if there was a disc in.

I'm using the latest vsn of OM.
