Im sry for making this newby questions, but im about to buy a ps3 slim and i see everywhere and everyone talking about ps3 dongles for jalbreaking the ps3 and running backup games on the hdd. But latly it seems that everyone is betting on cfw and taking there dongles away. Is this true? are the cfw the best solution for playing backup games and keeping the console intact?
I still feel a lot of confusion on this subject, cause im tryng to find an easy way to play backup games on my future ps3 slim, and when an update is needed i dont have to go into a lot of trouble (making all kind of software changes into the console). Can anyone (even you illness) point me out the best stable and easy solution for me please?

check my posts about using the maximus hex tool and a generic hex to convert someone elses working payload so you can flash it. it should be under the generic hex section i think.

i dont have anything setup to compile or anything (cant even program my pics) and dont have much intention of doing so either.

basically, im not working on any payloads or sources or anything unless something big comes out that makes it worth while sorry.

Hello,
I recently used my P3FREE dongle to put a PS3 into service mode and downgrade it to 3.41. I used the iLLNESS-PSGradePIC-1.3-P3FREE hex file to do it.
It all worked fine, but when I put the dongle back into my PC, and pressed the reset button, it wasn't recognised by my PC, so I cant put the jailbreak payload back onto it.
It seems as though the service mode hex has somehow corrupted the dongle. Any ideas on how to fix this problem?

my pc say that he see an usb hid but i cannot flash him because the programs dont reconise the usb
