PSFreedom Recovery MOD 32B/G1/Dream/Mytouch/Sapphire

This is Amon_Ra's recovery 1.2.0 with some added extras by myself.

Default Payload - Hermesv4b-math-netka-PSN

Load payload of your choice by adding the appropriate payload to the root of your sdcard and naming simply 'payload' with no quotes or extension

This is a customized recovery image for 32b devices, based on Amon_Ra recovery version 1.7.0 (mytouch3g, magic 32b, g1, dream 32b) that i put together allowing deployment of the Hermesv4b payload for jailbreaking the PS3 firmware 3.41 (homebrew, BD-Game backup to internal and external HDD, disc-less play etc..)

It is required that you have a rooted phone in order to use this, instructions for doing so can be found in several places. Google it.

Once you have done that, download the recovery image (in zip format) place on the root of your sdcard and reboot your device to recovery mode. Select the flash zip from sdcard option and choose PSFreedom-Hermesv4b-PSN-recovery-v2.zip and let it install. Once complete turn your phone off and reboot to recovery again. there will be a new option for 'Run PSFreedom'

UPDATE:
Downgrading/Service Mode is now available for the G1/Mytouch 32B devices running cyanogenmod 6.1.0 or with a 2708 radio and 0013 spl (if you dont know what this is visit the g1 or sapphire development forums at xda-developers)

Download these files first and place on the root of your phones sdcard.

Enable Zip:

Disable Zip:

To enable the downgrade mode flash the Enable Zip from recovery and once completed boot your phone normally. once booted remove power from your ps3 with the switch (fat) or removing the power cord from the back (slim) plug in your phone while still booted and press power then quickly press eject you should be greeted with a big red box in the bottom right corner after your console is finished booting.

Huge thanks to Larry. I have been using his recovery since it came out and have nothing to say but it works great. I wont be using my phone for jailbreaking any longer as I just picked up a p3go but if I find interesting builds I will try them out. Im keeping the recovery as it works as a recovery also. No need to reflash. Thanks again Larry.

I added the latest evilsperm hermes payload, it should be much more stable if anyone was using it and was experiencing lockups, flickering, etc.

I have a problem with this one - It just won't work. The PS3 will start up like normal, without the usual delay when using JB. It somehow seems this does never rin the exploit when the PS3 boots. Any idea as to why this might be?

are you running psfreedom from the recovery menu after you flash the new recovery image?

Seems I had an USB issue with my phone. A complete wipe and then reinstall of everything from HBOOT to recovery did the trick. Currently using the 2.0-version from the PSFreedom wiki though, with your latest hermes payload. Working a treat, even for discless Bioshock gaming. Never got that with PL3.

You aren't using a custom payload if you used the recovery image found in the psfreedom wiki, none of the versions there support dynamic payloads.

Anything 1.2.0 or higher from the wiki is PL3 only.

That's why I modified it. If gaia manager says "disc less" you're using pl3. If it says "mem patch" you are using a hermes payload.
