I have the same question. When I plug out iPhone and restart PS3 this new folders disappear. Is it good? Today I will try install Backup Manager. Have a nice day!
Is there any quick installation procedure for Ipod touch 1G like those for Iphone 2 n 3 G ??
They disappear and installed BackUp Manager and FTP Server are doesnt work! I thought it once did, and always use, but there are much worse! So, i hope will be updates!

does anyone kow of any other way to install openiboot onto ipod touch.i cant seem to get the txt on my terminal.its there on my touch but wont show up on my terminal.
I am actually having the same problem,
I can get OpeniBoot to open on my ipod, after that I select console
and type in linux terminal . / oibc
i get 2 scenerios,
1. it does nothing, my ipod writes "Welcome To OpeniBoot" but I don't see it in the terminal, and writing install gets
install: missing file operand"
2. it gives me
and typing "install" won't do anything either.
no matter what though I can't get the OpeniBoot to write on my terminal.
if you read the thread its been covered lots of times you have to re jailbrek every time you switch off your ps3

I'm getting same problem as a couple of ppl above me. Stuck on the ./oibc step and "Welcome to openiboot" banner not appearing on my terminal. All the steps before it worked pefectly.
Connected touch 1G in Recovery Mode
USB icon popped up on the bottom of terminal called Apple Device
Clicked connect for Apple Device
Entered ./loadibec openiboot.img3
USB icon on bottom of terminal disappeared and 1G entered openiboot screen
Pressed enter on ./oibc on terminal (did this with every timing imaginable)
A wall of text appeared on my 1G screen along with "welcome to openiboot"
USB icon popped up on the bottom of terminal call "Netchip USB device" that showed as "not connected"
At the same time, a pop up on Windows XP taskbar that said error encountered in installing device
The wall of text did not show up on my terminal at all no matter how many times i tried.
