I always advise people to use search button, but I'll help you out.

There are many ways to jailbreak, or in your terms "mod" the ps3.

    1. Buy a clone device.
    2. With Teensy boards or any other USB boards.
    3. TI-84 calculator port
    4. Android port (through psfreedom)
    5. Update to the latest firmware (Easiest method)

I see the search engine, but I cannot find any step by step instructions. Its nice of you to point out the different methods, but I am looking for some kikd of tut to show me how to do this. If updating the firmware is the easiest, then can someone tellme how to do that? Thanks for your help

If you decide on the Ti-84 calculator port (which is what I'm using), the guide is here: http://psx-scene.com/forums/f178/ti-...backups-65637/ (TI-84+ Jailbreaking Guide (and playing backups)) (Credit to adrenaline786)
