Help! Can't get AT90USBKEY to flash properly
Help! Can't get AT90USBKEY to flash properly –
I got my AT90USBKEY today, however I am running into several issues.
1) I followed the instructions to flash it and chose AT90USB1287 as my chipset.
2) Everything looked fine, however when I hit the Start Application button, the red light did not illuminate as it did in the video tutorials.
3) After that, Windows 7 said it could not recognize the device.
4) I then plugged it into the PS3 and followed the boot up instructions. The green light on the AT90USBKEY began blinking and did not stop. No packages or anything were recognized through the PS3 when I plugged in my USB key.
You killed your device! Kidding! Are you running Windows 7 or what? 32-bit or 64-bit? I have seen reports of some people having issues from 64-bit systems.
I'm running Windows 7 32 bit. Question when I flash it, do i use the 386 HEX or 86 HEX? I didn't touch any of the default settings in the application other than the steps indicated in the instructions.

make sure u are using the correct hex file for your board
I used the pre-compiled hex file available though ps3 hacks dot com. That should work for the AT90USBKEY. Which board do you have? Maybe you can pass along your hex file if we have the same one. I can't figure out why this isn't working... it's so simple to do this, yet I'm having so many problems

Yeah I just realised that about 5 mins ago. (www ps3 news dot com) has a zip file located on their site (not sure if i'm allowed to post it or not) that contains all the different hex files available. I grabbed it and i'll give it a try when i get home.

I'm assuming the CJPC one is the hacked one one right?
Thanks for helping me out!

i did the same i use precompile files from ps3hax and the one compile by MoeLester i don't have i guess the hex is the problem , i follow the instructions even i installed in Xp, Vista , and Win 7 no luck!!! going crazy hehehehe !!!
It's because you're using the wrong hex file. The one posted at ps3 hax is only for the Teensy++ you need the one for AT90USBKEY.
