I ripped my US version of Black Ops using Gaia Manager, but I can't get it to run. I deleted any previous updates off of my harddrive, transferred over the files from a BLUS30591 pack, but whenever I boot it up it freezes at the update 1.04 screen. I edited the SFO to say 1.04, but it still won't boot. I also changed the 3.4100 to 3.4000, but it still won't run. Any advice?

I tried that pack, but whenever I boot it up it goes black, makes an error noise, and then the system is frozen.

I added the pack to the game file on my external hard drive. Then I made sure nothing was on my internal hard drive. And that I had all the right files replaced.

Was the 300+ reply thread not enough? You had to make your own separate thread?? This issue has been covered already in that thread.

Was reading my actual post too difficult? I followed the guide in that thread as I clearly stated, but the game would still not boot. I assumed the 1.04 update was causing it to freeze, but editing the sfo did nothing. I finally gave up and just downloaded the European version of the game pre-patched. However, I am unsure of the legality of this since I own the US version. But in the end $60 went to the company so all is good I guess.

Novis13, the smart thing to do is to stay hush about those notions of thinking it's okay to download something since you already own it.. lol Stick to the policy "don't ask, don't tell".

You should follow all the tutorials in that thread. Thousands of people learned how to do it using those tutorials. I will not provide support about it in another topic. One topic is enough to follow.

    Yes it was.

You're right, I wasn't thinking. Moderator, please delete this thread. Thanks.
