heavy rain problem

i just backed up heavy rain and all seems to go fine however when i press launch in bum it just takes me back to the home screen not sure what ive missed or done wrong

you press on it and the original cd will be replaced with the game you choiced in backup managaer... you need to run it on internal HDD first so install it.. after that you can choice to play it throught internal or external HDD

i worked out how to launch it but it freezes at the loading screen do i need the 1100 odd md patch thats available

remember not to patch it... cause it can cause freezing.. and remember to delete any files of the heavy rain before running it on backup mode...
in backup manager you select games that replace the original game you have in it.. you will get back to xmb then go to game and the dics icon

heavy rain require you 2 install the game first... so you have to have it in internal.. after that you can decice 2 go for internal or external.. i recommend external since you want free space on internal and you can always go around with the external...

and remember never to patch backup games... or not till you know what to do...

I'm having the same problem. I've deleted all the original files for Heavy Rain. i back up the game to the internal drive and try to run the game from backup manager and it locks up on start up the first time - then locks up on the loading screen when starting the game.

I've deleted all the saves and the install data - am i missing something else? I played the demo

I've got the exact same problem, the loading just takes forever, I've deleted the update and everything and it just keeps loading.

Ive never played it fired it on the external and just seems to keep loading

I had the same issue. I can't remember what I did to fix it, but it was one of three things:

1) Install the game to the internal HD. Install the mandatory game data. Move the game back to the External.

2)Install the game to the External. The mandatory game install looked like it went ok, but I had to delete it, and install it again for some reason.

3)Installed the game to the External. Install the update from the disc.

I wish I could remember how I did it, but I was just playing it for a couple of hours today off of the external without issues.
