HDD Problem After Downgrade
HDD Problem After Downgrade –
After downgrading my ps3 from firmware 3.41 to 3.15, which i had bricked due to my laziness, i was unable to exist service mode (i tried placing the second Lv2diag.self file on two different flash drives which i plugged into the rightmost usb port). So i decided to use psgrade again and used the modified 3.41 ps3updat.pup insteed. Sadly i was still unable to exit service mode. I also tired entering the recovery menu and even attempted downgrading to another firmware but both did not work. My ps3 did still turn on but was stuck in factory/service mode. I figured zero-filling the harddrive would help, but after placing it back into my ps3 the green light turns on for a few seconds then turns off.
I've been using a nano 1g to downgrade, and i have a ps3 slim.
Any suggestions on what to do?
The problem that you are facing is pretty common, and can easily be resolved.
But the answer is long, I have made a a step by step guide for downgrading, what I could suggest is go to my blog, follow it step by step and you are good to go.
If you or any one else finds my tutorial helpful, they could just cop and paste my tutorial from there to here, I have no issues with it.
Hope it helps you too.
Thanks for the tutorial. It does give a solution on how to exist factory/service mode. Now I just need to get my ps3 to start turning on again. Is there any way to get my ps3 to recognize my hard drive now? I zero-filled it, which didnt work, then i formatted it into a single fat32 partition which also didnt work.
