Good afternoon. I have a question about thePlayStation 3/PSP Go... –
Good afternoon. I am posting this thread to inquire about the PlayStation 3 and a possible feature of the PSP Go.
A) Can the PlayStation 3 (whether backward-compatible or not) run ISOs of PlayStation 2 games? If so, can it do that from the first, or will I need to jailbreak the PS3?
B) If I need to jailbreak the PS3, then how do I do that?
C) For the PSP Go, can it be used as a PS3 controller? I am asking because I own a (jailbroken) PSP Go and I am running a PSX game on it, and there is a (grayed) option (in the Controller Settings menu) that says "PS3 System Controller".
A) You need a backward compatible PS3 with firmware 3.55 or less. You will need to jailbreak it.
B) Easy. Just put a custom firmware (kameaw, rebug, whatever) on a USB stick and install it with the system update menu or the recovery menu.
How exactly do I use a PSP Go as a PS3 controller (especially since the PSP Go has less buttons than a PS3 controller, AND it only has ONE analog stick.

Actually the PS3 controller can be used on a PSP go that not the other way around and for PSX game the vibration works and all buttons L2 R2 L3 R3 work for games
The only down side is if you connect the controller back to PS3 again you will have to re sink the controller again for PSP
