Game patches with PSGroove?

Has anyone tried these to update games on either an external drive, or the internal?

Naturally FULL game packages work, but I have yet to see anyone who has tried the patches.

165 views on this forum alone, and many more on other sites... and not a single person out of 1,000's of views total has tried one of the patches?

I would test some of these patches myself but i got shafted by farnell and their crappy website not updating fast enough, so i didnt get a usb board

No JB for me yet.

Some guy yesterday or the day before made a thread about them and it got deleted. I think he said it works, I didn't see the thread as it got deleted. I saw a post the guy made in the big PSGroove thread where he linked to the forum thread in question.

I guess that PS3News page is the one he linked to? :S

These packages... does that mean you can just put them on a usb stick then install them with install package file?

As I bought GT5 prologue before all this happened and have lost it now.

Like I said yday or day before someone was talking about something like this and saying it works, but I didn't see the page they linked to. I assume THIS was the page.

I had Pain and it works, im not sure if its because I already have the licensing to it.

Nah, you have to have the licensing with it. It says 'buy full game' on the one I didn't originally have.
