in hdd_0 you will see video and a music folder they go in there
just hdd0 and then /video ? mine does not work like that

Have you tried transfering the normal way and then going in with FTP or Comgenie and try to find where the file ended up?
I tried to find an answer to this. Ripped music to PS3 via CD and then went in thru ftp to try and find it. The only directory I could find that was updated was the tmp directory and there's nothing in there that has the 450mb of the ripped disk.
Ideally would like to dump a few files over to create a playlist for Sports Active 2
so after fooling around with this a bit after stumbling upon this thread i have managed to locate where the music is. (i transferred it to my ps3 via usb)
it is in hdd0/music but my issue is the organization, the music is organised into what seems to me as random folders with random names. i have included 2 screen shots to show what i mean. Anyone get how this works?
