Few Q's that need A's –

Ok, so I have a ps3 slim 160gb on 3.55. I am going to jailbreak it with kmeaws 3.55 cfw. I read somewhere that there was an cfw update that allowed the ps3 to be on cfw at all times, does kmeaws cfw allow this? Now once I am on kmeaws 3.55 cfw, I would like to load my first ripped game (batman arkham asylum) onto my ps3's internal hardrive, I know I go about doing this with a program called "Blackbox FTP" correct? Ok, I have the details down on that, how to get it onto my internal hardrive, but the tut's I find only have to do with a Gala backup loader, not a Multiman which I would prefer to use. My question there is, once I have transferred my game onto the internal ps3 HDD with blackbox, how do I play it using Multiman? Also, I need to have a disc in there as well at all times to right? Also, I read that in order to play the batman arkham asylum backup on your ps3 you need the eboot fix, correct? Does anyone have a nice and SIMPLE tut on how to get that eboot fix to the batman iso? Or if I don't even have that down correctly please tell me. I am pretty sure I read that some games require a eboot fix. And finally, the online play. Will I still be able to play online games through psn? I read that it was disabled on kmeaws 3.55 cfw, BUT I have seen videos with people on kmeaws 3.55 and still able to play online with any game, how is that possible when I thought that psn gets blocked? If there is a way PLEASE someone explain it to me, or direct me toward a tut. Thank you for any answers.

It looks like you've been looking at old information. KMEAW works good but here is what I would do for a first time installation
Install 3.55.2 Rebug CFW from Codename: REBUG
Install the .6 update from same site
Install bdemu2 (should be in the download section here)
Install multiman from http://psx-scene.com/forums/multiman/
That is bare minimum for playing backups. There's also emulators, ReActPSN, homebrew, etc but for now we'll stick to game backups. The rest is easy to pick up once you get started
multiMAN has built in FTP. You don't need BlackBox FTP or OpenPS3 FTP anymore.
put your games in dev_hdd0/GAMES or in \GAMES or \GAMEZ on your usb drive.
You get much better compatibility if you have a Retail PS3 disc in the drive. Doesn't matter which one for the most part. I've been using Final Fantasy XIII for that for a year and
haven't had trouble loading any game
Arkham Asylum doesn't need a compatibility patch. Arkham City does but you need a TB dongle (if you buy one make sure it's real and not a clone/counterfeit)
If you ever do need to apply a game patch then it's simple drag and drop in windows
Right now you can't get on PSN at all. We were able to for a while with F*ckPSN or Rebug's access to the dev servers but not anymore. You're either looking at old info or scams.
There are a lot of fake videos out there. Don't get your info YouTube. There's a lot of those videos that will just cause problems for you
If you want to play games against other players you can if the games support LAN play. Go here for info on that XLink Kai: Evolution VII. Global Network Gaming.

How do I go about using Multiman to transfer games from my PC to my PS3's internal HDD? Second, so not all games you can play on the internal HDD? You were saying the newer Batman game needs a patch correct? But I need a certain "device" to play it? How does all that work? I read from here that in order to play the newer games all you needed to do was patch them ******.com/fixes/93533-all-true-blue-tb-eboots so damn that means not all games are compatible with backup play? What the hell is the point of ps3 cfw when the backup compatibility isn't even up to date? any word on that being worked on? Any word on a new work around sony's psn block? Thank you.

transferring games is easy. You can either copy them from an external usb drive through the built in file manager or use FTP the same way you would have with BlackBox FTP. The place to put games on your internal drive is dev_hdd0/GAMES. It'll make sense the first time you connect
Those TB patches require you to buy a little USB stick and use special custom firmware for them to work. Look here True Blue - play 3.6+ games on your jailbroken PS3 . It's about 60 bucks from ModChipCentral or ModChipsDirect. We've got a section in the forums with all the info you need on how to install it, how to apply patches, etc. Just make sure you don't buy a clone or a counterfeit. They are cheaper but you'll have problems with them. Look here for all the info you need. Just make sure you read all the sticky topics http://psx-scene.com/forums/true-blue-dongle/
The reason that it is the way it is right now with needing the TB dongle to play the newest games is Sony patched the keys needed to play the newest games. There was success for a while with game patches but every time we turned around there was a new security update. The TB has been around for a good long time now and has not been patched/blocked. Just think of it like needing to buy a modchip like for other systems. The people that own a TB are pretty much up to date and still able to play any backup they want with the exception of a few new titles that still need patches. There's going to be a release of new patches very soon that will complete the list to date.

sounds good to me, I think I am going to go for the true blue dongle once I get my ps3 in and hacked. My last and final question is, can you give me ALL the appropriate files needed to get games from my pc to the ps3's internal hdd please? i am referring to the correct and up to date FTP? and how to use it. OR could I use flashFXP? and if I can, all i do is connect that program with my ps3 using my ps3's internet settings like the ip address and such? and then just transfer to dev_hdd0/GAMES? then once in multiman i can find a setting to go into my internal hdd and find that game, to mount to the disc drive correct? still kind of lost sense I do not have it in front of me. just trying to get it all down so I do not mess up. thank you.

You can use FlashFXP or FileZilla on your PC side. After you get your PS3 set up you'll get your PS3's IP address from the network settings menu and load multiMAN. Once it's loaded you can put your PS3's IP address into FlashFXP. There's no username/password. Set it to port 21 or just leave blank. Once you connect you'll see a bunch of items like:
dev_hdd0
dev_flash
dev_usb00
Stay out of everything but the ones that have hdd0 or usb in them. You will brick your system if you play around in the flash without knowing what everything is
after you've transferred the files to dev_hdd0/GAMES or dev_usb?/GAMES just hit refresh in multiman's game menu and the new game will appear and be ready to play. Check the compatibility list in the forums and it will tell you if the game needs to be played from internal drive or can only be played from external or if it can be played from either.
If you get stuck after getting set up you can always post a question here. There's more than a few people on here that will help you out

wait are you kidding me!? by the looks of this list not all games can be put on the internal hdd to play! most of them can only be played on a external hdd! thats bullcrap I dont want to buy another thing for this.....
Edit: as for the games that cannot run on the internal hdd, is there any fix in progress? Can there be a fix made? what needs to be fixed to get them to work? And is this a hardware issue? Or a app issue with multiman? Thank you.
