From External to Internal HDD

you should be able to with MM,it ask you prior to either from internal to external or vise versa.

Ok thank you. Can you tell me why MM grey's out the option to copy games at random times? It forces me to uninstall and reinstall every time and sometimes that doesn't even bring it back until I do it 2 or 3 times.

It should only grey out if you're trying to copy to a place that's restricted. It's for your own good so you don't damage your system. If you're trying to copy TB data from their discs it will be greyed, if you're trying to copy to the flash it will be greyed unless you turn on access through the settings

nevermind figured it out. Thank god for MM it allows me to work around not using a FTP.

Hello all,

I have a simular kind of problem but then vice versa ... I'm trying to get my game from internal HDD to external HDD. I can't simply copy it because I don't have the disc So I installed it with the .pkg files, but now I need the games files on my external HDD. No way I can get it there, I searched like all day long and looked at forums. Only thing I got found is to copy/paste the GAME, BACKUP & DISC files to my external HDD. But what program I need for that ?

I'm running the well named backup managers with kneaw 3.55.

So how can I copy those map files to my external HDD so I can run them with a backup manager.

Well I quote myself here But I finally got the solution for this. I can't post links here atm so I post the part that helped me from this.

I quote from a other forum:

1-Install Your PKG on PS3 internal HDD using " Install Package Files "
2-Start multiMAN, go to File Manager ( SELECT+Start ) , open / dev_hdd0 / game in left panel and / dev _ usb00 / GAMEZ in right panel
3-Create a new folder on external HDD
4-Copy the game's folder (eg. / dev _ hdd0 / game / NPUA00000) to the new folder.
5-Rename the game's folder NPUA00000 on the external HDD to PS3_ GAME
6-Open the folder / dev _ hdd0 / game / NPUA00000 / USRDIR and delete all the subfolders and files of the game, except the EBOOT. BIN
7-Start The Game Diskless using multiMAN
8-Enjoy!
