I don't know for sure if MM can detect the 4th partition because it is 4th or because the ntfs partitions are coming first and it is getting hung up. I personally have a 2 partition 750gb hd and the first is WBFS (wii) and second FAT32 (PS3) with no ntfs.
My two guesses would be since the ps3 does not have ntfs driver naturally it may be hanging up and not loading past there. Or possibly MM is hung up on even reading to the 4th partition.
First I would check in the normal ps3 XMB under the video tab to see if your external FAT32 partition is even visible. FAT32 is naturally read by the ps3 for vid/music and should show even if there is no vid/music on the drive.
If it shows something is up with MM, if not the PS3 is getting hung up on the ntfs.
I would use a prog called EASEUS partition manager and hook it up to your pc and move the partitions around, this WILL take a while I would put your ntfs partitions last . I would suggest wbfs/fat32/ntfs/ntfs and see if that works. Unfortunately I'm outta space on my 750gb and cannot create ntfs partitiobns to mimic your situation for further tests.

i finally was able to check, the fat32 partition is not visible, i tried putting some videos on the fat32 partition but it doesn't show up.
i will try moving the partitions as you suggested
should i put first the fat32 or the wbfs and after that the ntfs ? i was also thinking on joining the ntfs partitions in to 1.
any other suggestions ?
thanks

i have a 2 tb external and the first partition is 500GB NTFS and 2nd is FAT32 1.5TB and ps3 recognizes fat32 partition and when i go in file manager, all i can see is my fat32 partition, ntfs partition doesnt even show up. I believe my NTFS is the primary partition too while the FAT32 is a logical partition. I would have thought i would have needed to switch the FAT32 to primary but the ps3 reads anyway.

i just checked and i don't have any primary partition on the hard drive

could be that a reason why my fat32 is not detected ?

^tbh i have no idea but try assigning the G:\, H:\ or J:\ NTFS partition as the primary and then leave fat32 that has your backups as the logical partition...i just know that's how mine is setup and my ps3 is able to detect the FAT32 partition, let us know how it goes. I only have 2 partitions too.
oh and i recommend using EASEUS to manage your hdd and partitioning

finally after so many hours moving partitions, arranging things with acronis.
this is how my hard drive looks now , fat32 ( i formated with fat32format) then ntfs, wbfs , ntfs

i didn't make any primary partition
now everything works
i just got a program called opensplit ,i was wondering if after i split a game can i just transfer it to the external hard drive n multiman will recognize it or do i need to use other program in my pc to transfer it to the hard drive ?
as far as i saw the dude that made the program said that it should be used with open manager, is it really needed ?
thanks again
