It'll probably be 3.41 but to find what version it is you'll have to go on the PS3 and go to System Settings in the menu.

It ONLY works on 3.41 at the moment. I would not update if an update comes unless its safe [look on these forums].

your system would prompt you when there is a new update and you have to start it yourself. The ps3 will never just update itself.

    Here mate:

    http://downloads.exophase.com/685/ps3-firmware-341/

Download that, put it on a USB memory stick with the folders

    PS3/UPDATE/

Then the file in the update folder. Then go to system update, click on the second one (removable storage?).

Nah mate. Go to the root of your usb stick. Then make a folder called PS3.

Then in PS3, make a folder called UPDATE. Then in the update folder, drag the file which you downloaded into the update folder.

The folder names must be caps!
