Eclipse USB Key
I am having some issues when using the Eclipse usb dongle with the latest firmware v1.5.
When I try to install .pkg files (mandatory to be able to play the game) for let's say Assassins Creed Brotherhood or Hasbro Family Game Night 3, I receive an error message called 80010019. It says it cannot install the package.
Is there someone else who has the same problem? I receive this more often as more games need to install a .pkg before playing first.
For the record, I have one of the first FAT PS3's, with the PS2 backwards compatibilty and all other games who don't use a .pkg file to install first work like a charm with multiman, open manager or gaia.
I know the Eclipse dongle can load several hex files and I read things about PSGroove Hermes v4b, but how do I know which one to choose and how to load it onto the dongle? I also see a lot of hex files:
arduino, at90usb162_8Mhz, minimus, maximus, teensy etc.
Is there anyone who can help?
I googled some more (it's driving me crazy ;))
And this is what I'm going to test tonight:
As people who own an Eclipse dongle for the PS3 possibly know, it can load different hex files.
An instruction on how to load a hex file onto the Eclipse I refer to (you need a user account for this site):
Updating ecliPS3 with PSGroove Hermes - EurAsiaWiki
There is also a link to the latest PS Groove Hermes patch:
EurAsia - Downloads
You need to use the psgroove_teensy_at90usb162_16Mhz.hex (as far as they are telling)
After I have tested this I will post my experience with the error etc..
After testing last night with the psgroove_teensy_at90usb162_16Mhz.hex loaded on the Eclipse USB Dongle, everything works perfect!
I now have the official firmware 1.5 of the Eclipse, combined with the PsGroove Hermes v4B hex, which allows me to finally install PSN games, Assassin's Creed Brotherhood, Hasbro Family Game Night 3, Sega Ultimate MegaDrive Collection etc.
So for all the people who are getting the same problem, this can be solved with above information!
