I've read here that it is fine to use a different hard drive with kmeaw, but would I be able to format hard drive #2 for use with the ps3 and switch back to hard drive #1 any time I want?

You can do it, but it sounds like a pain. Why not just put hard drive #2 in an external enclosure and use both at once?
Because I do not have the money for a brand new drive for internal. And all I have are mediocre sized drives lying around.
It is mainly because so many games are internal hard drive only.
I don't think you can. I think one hard drive can be locked to one PS3 at a time.
Yea you can.I'm doin this now usin my original 60gb and a 160gb that I use for homebrew.
