i am going to borrow my neightboors iphone to JB my ps3, but i was reading that the iphome meeds to bu plug or in everytime the ps3 gets booted or everytime the back up manager is going to be use.
is this true???
or the JB is just a one time thing

has to be used everytime the PS3 is turned on
with the original jailbreak you would have to leave it plugged in all the time. With PS Groove you can remove the device after the boot up is complete but with both devices you would have to use it again if you ever turn off your system

yes mate. All devices require you to re-insert and re-do the jailbreak at each boot. The psgroove method is one step better as it doesn't need to be plugged in all the time whilst running the ps3, unlike the original psjailbreak.
Until we hit a custom firmware you are going to have to invest in a device of your own rather than borrowing one.
