Confused about 3.55 spoof

I have a Nano 1g that I use for Jailbreaking. I am currently on firmware 3.41 with Hermes 4b. Is there any reason to update to the 3.55 spoof firmware, and if so, what does it actually do for me?

No reason at all, just stick with your hermes v4b

it's just a spoof to prevent your family and idiot friends from updating your ps3. there's no gt5 or hot pursuit and other stuff.

not even that it will prevent!!! cause your family/idiot friends will turn the machine normally, so it won't be spoofed.
it has no purpose, but hey! at least it is something more to the scene.
