edit: don't go all the way down to 3.15 (3.21 is suitable) just go to 3.40 if you can find it, I wouldn't suggest too low as it depends on what FW your PS3 came with
edit: if downgrade lower than what your PS3 came with you BRICK

has your Ps3 ever had 3.15 on it? You need a dongle to use factory service mode, D/G like you did from 3.55 but use OFW this time!

That is the problem. The system is telling the upgrader that you are on a higher firmware, that is why it is asking for firmware 3.65 or higher. Forget downgrading, just remove the spoofer. Do you remember the steps you followed to install it? Judging from tthousand's instructions in his next post, you just run the spoofer again to remove the spoof.
