I backuped mine to external and use Prince of Persia Forgotten Sands disc to play 3D Dot Hereos and works fine.
I agree though, the backup manager is shit in it's current form.
I cant backup my only game Resident evil 5 to internal 50gb drive.
Sucks!
Same here, internal boots me back to the XMB before the title screen, external I got to the player select screen. I tinkered around in there a bit then it booted me out again when I was scrolling from screen to screen. Haven't messed with it much after that. But the external I got further into it then the internal.
Complain all you want, there isnt any better alternatives out there currently.
Personally i've gotten most games working on my side, all have been tested via internal hdd thou.
I must be doing something wrong.
Tested Blur and that doesnt work either I get a black screen.
Im using the new no bluray payload
I select in the new backp manager which sends me nback to xmb,
I select the game in the xmb Ps3_game and i can see game load screen,
Goes to black screen???
I'm pretty sure the new backup manager you're supposed to load games from the games folder on the game menu, not via the actual backup manager, sure I read it somewhere. Either way, there's many people commenting that the compatibility of the new backup manager is pretty poor right now. See this thread:
http://psx-scene.com/forums/showthread.php?t=66654 (Hermes & BM 2.0 Game Not Working Thread)
It won't be long until we get a proper app for backing up games anyway. It seems like BM was pretty rushed altogether and is just sloppy.
