Hi, i am desperate to upgrade my dongle to hermes v4b and i have never updated it before.

But the thing is that i really got some problems :P
So i need your help guys.

I can get my clone psjailbreak with atmega32u2 atmel chip to blue color leds but first time windows did automaticly install some drivers without asking me anything and now i cant chose the usb folder and install the drivers.
So when i am at Atmel Flip software and want to connect to usb i am getting this error:

and there is no avr key at the device manager :

Also tried on 2 different windows 7 pc`s. But the same happened win7 did just do something and made it ready to use, but i do still get the .dll error at Atmel Flip software.

You can take a look at my chip from the attached file.

Thanks for your answer and help

    best regards

Yeah... This dev board has issues with Windows 7, so if I were you i'd flash it with a windows xp or you can download a virtual windows xp software and install it on your windows 7 pc and then try it.
    PS3 Phat with 500GB
    1 TB External
    AVRKEY (ATMEGA32U2) - 32KB Onboard Flash Memory

    Future List -
    - PS3 Move Set

Thank you Geohot and fail0verfl0w for fully hacking the PS3.

go into device manager plug in your AVR and see does anything pop up in device manager if not or it has a question mark on it uninstall what driver is on it then you need to get the righr drivers for your AVR .......... dont let it auto install do a manual with the right drivers you download. or then again maybe itsMoeyy is right and there is a problem with that AVR i had to get the drivers for a minimus Atmega32u2

Well if your 100% sure they are the right drivers and tried WinXp you might have a faulty AVR

    You wont belive what happened
I got so bored of this problem that i tried to update the dongle with ps3 key configurator 1.0 and with the v2 firmware for atmel and the result was unbelivable it worked, then i decided to try firmware v4 and i did sucessfully update my chip to v4 firmware from ps3key.

tried mx vs atv and mafia 2 was able to update both of them.

will transfer medal of honor tomorrow after work and see if it runs

I'm having the same exact issue. i tried on xp, vista, windows 7 - 32 and 64 bit, but i get the same exact errors. I tried the same thing you did nefret, with the ps3 key updater but no luck. it's getting pretty depressing. i even did the whole f8 at bootup to enable driver enforcement, or whatever its called and still the same thing.
