I tried looking around for definate answers, but still not 100% sure.
This PCB, if I bought this and followed the pdf guide on how to connect it to the PS3, will that mean I can play games from my external harddrive, or do I have to have the dongle along with this as well?
Basically what capabilities will this board open up for the PS3?
Thanks

That unit once flashed will become the same thing as the dongle. You then install Backup Manager from the install packages menu which will appear in the Game menu if you've booted the jailbreak correctly.
From Backup Manager, you can backup games to either internal or external drives, however not all games are working on the external drive. Your best bet is to check the compatibility matrix here:

Other homebrew software will no doubt start popping up sooner or later

Thanks for the quick answer, just one more silly question, would it be worthwhile for me to wait and see if the Android solution works out or should I just bite the bullet and get this pcb?

id bite the bullet and get one,or a board of some kind,a android may be usefull and cool, but you cant use your phone while using it as a jailbreaker

I ordered one of these boards today, so hopefully get it in the next few days.
I've also noticed a guy selling dongles for £10 on here, would that do the same job, if so I'll just cancell the board i've bought, or is there any added bonus for getting the board?
Thanks

You can remove the board once the PS3 is in debut mode, you just need to use the board again next time you turn PS3 on.
