Thanks for replying, where can I get V4b for nano1g from? On the first page in this thread it only says V3 and V4 for nano1g

Make sure you are using the latest version of Gaia Manager and GT5 needs to run in patched mode. In Gaia Manager, you will see the game in the list. Before you choose the game, click L1 on your controller to run the game in patched mode. DO NOT update the game if it asks, just click the back button to get out of that screen. It will ask if you would like to fix the Eboot file and you want to say yes to that.

Has any one managed to get Psgroove to work on a 2G ipod nano Now that a stable release of Rock box has been released for the 2G??

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

E2A thought it might be because IPL loader wouldn't install, so after a bit of digging around i found this http://the-seven.tk/ipod/iloader/installation.php which i have installed successfully installed this on my 2g nano. I have also now installed rockbox. Is there a rockbox.ipod for the 2g if not how would i go about creating one?

I have also now installed rockbox. Is there a rockbox.ipod for the 2g if not how would i go about creating one?

With new CFW out i think rockbox jb is going to be dead. there if no reason to use dongles anymore given the fact that some new CFW allows you to temporary patch memory and play backed up games some do it permanently.

i realize this thread hasnt been touched in a long time ,but i have seen posts about a hermes v4c,d, and e, maybe higher, so is v4b the latest hermes payload? or is is it just the latest payload compiled for rockbox? and what would a newer version be able to do that v4b cant ? better discless? better stability?

Looking at my collection of Rockbox ports / payloads (21 in total) it looks like v4b is the last version that Hermes made for rockbox / dongles before quiting the scene (1st time)

Not sure where 4c comes in but my Hermes CFW 3.41 now uses "payload 4D - 1.04" when I choose to run it.

I find multiman and BDEMU2 does just the same job though. Just install it and forget ...

If you still using Rockbox then you really do need to consider updating. 3.55 is suppose to be good or just use Hermes 3.41 CFW and you get the dongle built in.

also could i jailbreak 3.41 cfw? like say with a cobra payload?so if i flash a 3.41 cfw would i still be able to use a cobra dongle? or a port when someone finally comes out with a free public payload and hopefully ports it rockbox? that is the reason i dont want to bother updating just yet , i thought a week ago or so that a cobra payload was imminent , guess not,

Can't answer all questions but ...

1) Hermes 3.41 CFW - all it really does is add the install option and allows PEEK / POKE. There is no payload built in. You either have to run an application that runs paypal 4d, or like me install multiMAN and BDEMU2. When running Multiman the payload is automatically run.

2) No idea if discless is better than a dongle as I always keep a disk in the machine. There are lots of posts that say 3.41 is better though than 3.55 for diskless.

3) 3rd party controller support should be still there - its still 3.41 just slightly changed.

4) Never thought too try and run the dongle on 3.41 CFW. If cobra is ever broken as its based on 3.41 theres a good chance it'll work as a seperate application first on 3.41

Theres also the benefit that if you want to go back to 3.41 standard just reflash via recovery - you loose nothing on the HD until 3.55 to 3.41.
