FYI.

Retail update is not working on 'Hermes V4 Ipod video 5th Gen'

I tried patching assassin's creed 2 got error 8xxxxx something. I returned to the Hermes v3 + retail update. Patched successfully.

Had exact same problem. I would have thought that would have been incorporated into hermes v4, but seeing I have never really seen what all changes were made in Hermes V4, I have no idea.

just tried mini1g 3.41 from your link and it doesn't load. tried many times to JB, keeps saying unknown device connected and won't show the 2 folders (app_home and install pkg)

I had the same issue but its working now, it came down to WHEN I was turning on the ps3. Are you doing it as soon as you see the loading bar for psgroove on the ipod?

give it a try, didnt test it yet, but no errors compiling.

is anyone in possesion of a tutorial to teach us how to compile PL3 to rockbox ?

There is no reson to compile the files again.
As kakaroto didn't update his PL3 git.

About the JB issues:

Peaople!
In the most of the cases, that you think you are doing every thing right, but it doesn't JB your PS3 - Its a timing problem.

With PL3 the timing between launching rockbox and pressing power+eject has changed.
For example - if I have pressed power+eject when rockbox loaded.
with PL3 I'm pressing power+eject as soon as I launch rockbox.

could you please write how to use it with iRiver H10 5gb ?
step by step please if possible, or any link to this subject if someone wrote about it?
I could not find info about it - (a guide step by step for new users).

(for example do I need to push any buttons on the iRiver H10 when I run it with ps3 and USB? and how to put this everything to work ok? etc... just a little guide for new user)

Hermes v3 update-fix v2 is the best right? Or do we need to have hermes v4 to play MOH and new games? Or It's just better to use this new PL3?
